Are We Using the Words Racism and Racist Too Often
The terms racism and racist are being used often in the Media and politics these days. Some journalists and politicians speak these words so casually to describe those they disagree with politically or ideologically. Many argue this is fueling division in the U.S. and are now questioning the claim of these words. So how do we talk about this emotional and highly charged subject which can symbolize many different things to many different people. Where journalists are concerned we must begin this conversation with honesty and no partisan agenda to really identify some of the media treatment of the word racism.
