Are Illegal Immigrants Criminals or Is ICE Too Extreme?
President Trump. ICE raids. Illegal immigration. Sanctuary cities. This is probably the most polarizing issue dividing the U.S. these days as Americans debate everything from crime and border security to anger over enforcement policies and civil liberties. Reporter David Nazar travels to Los Angeles to talk with three Angelenos; a conservative former mayor and radio host, a staunch Latina activist and former reporter, and an independent journalist, as they debate whether illegal immigrants are criminals and whether ICE raids are unjust. Throughout our nation, from Los Angeles, known as “ground zero” for the immigration debate, to Minneapolis, where recent ICE enforcement actions and protests have captured the news, Americans remain deeply divided on how immigration should be dealt with. Listen as these voices clash and challenge each other.
